Crystal earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Minnesota State University – Moorhead in 2012. She then completed the ten-week Law Enforcement Summer Skills Program at Alexandria Technical College. Crystal was accepted into the Executive JD Distance Learning Program at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2017, and earned her Juris Doctor degree in January 2021.
